Who this notice is from

RSDS is the trading name of Ryan Stephens, an independent web designer and developer based in the United Kingdom. RSDS is the data controller for any personal data described in this notice. You can reach me at ryan@rsds.uk.

What this website collects

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from the same domain as the site. Your browser still connects to the hosting provider to request these files, as described below.

The contact form does not send anything to a server. When you press send, your own email application opens with the details you typed already filled in. Nothing leaves your device until you choose to send that email.

Server logs

The company hosting this website may automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is generated by the hosting platform for security and reliability, not by RSDS, and it is not used to build any profile of you.

When you contact me

If you email me, or send an enquiry through the contact form, I will hold your message and contact details so I can reply and, if we go on to work together, run the project. The lawful basis is legitimate interests for an initial enquiry, and performance of a contract once a project begins.

I will not add you to a mailing list, and I will not pass your details to anyone else for marketing.

How long information is kept

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: deleted within 12 months.
• Project correspondence and records: kept for 6 years after the project ends, to meet accounting and legal requirements.

Who else may see your information

Email is handled by my email provider. If a project goes ahead, details needed to deliver it may be handled by suppliers such as a hosting provider or domain registrar. I do not sell personal data, ever.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how it is used. Email me and I will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If this website later adds analytics, a form service or embedded content, this notice will be updated before that change goes live.
